What a shocker to kick off the 24/25 season! Logifuture, the new kids on the block, pulled off a stunner by beating last year's champs, Casino Malta, in their debut match! Talk about making an entrance! Casino Malta came out looking like they thought they'd walk it. But from the get-go, Logifuture made it clear they weren’t there just to make up the numbers. Casino Malta had their moments though, and by midway through the first half, they were cruising with a two-goal cushion. But, right before the break, Logifuture pulled one back to make it 4-3 and opened the game again. Second half, Logifuture came out flying and quickly levelled things up. Just when it seemed like they might turn the tide, Antonio Buffon put Casino Malta back in front with a sharp finish. But then Sebastian Ricardo Nayar - the man of the moment. Nayar took over, running the show with some slick dribbling, a couple of clutch goals, and a cheeky assist that had his teammates buzzing. In the final 10 minutes, Logifuture broke Casino Malta’s hearts, snatching all 3 points in what turned out to be a proper battle. This result shakes things up early and shows we’re in for a wild season - anyone can beat anyone. Makes it all the more exciting! Next up, Logifuture faces Tipico, who are licking their wounds after a loss to Betclic by a goal in last minute, while Casino Malta will look to bounce back against another league newbie, the Islanders FC.
